Tips to make the Uni move stress free!

So!
First thing first, why there hasn't been a blog post in forever; Basically my laptop died, and not like broke and had to get fixed, like dead, gone and scraped for parts. Annoyingly it happened as i had a billion ideas for post on here and videos on my channel!

So That is why I haven't written anything on here. But since then I've been doing absolutely loads and can't wait to write about it all! But unfortunately Summer can not last forever and September First has come round again. For many that means heading back to school within the next few weeks! Starting uni can be one of the most stressful times but if you're prepped enough it can actually be relatively stress free.

1. Be Prepared!
In the next few weeks leading up to uni make sure you get everything you need, however you don't need to take your entire life! if you do wanna take everything from your room then presumably you'll need to down size, if possibly try see the kind of room you'll be in! Most Unis have an inventory list on their accommodation page which will say what your room has in it. Check if you already have things such as a mirror or pots and pans in your halls and also check the kind of oven they have as if you have induction hobs they'll require certain pans etc. Check out the Essentials to take to uni.

2. Make Friends!
On the welcome day be sure to arrive as early as you can to get into to your halls of residence. When Un-packing your room be sure to keep your door open, it's a great way to meet you new house mates. Moving into a flat with people you don't know can be pretty nerve-racking but be brave and go and say hi! After all you'll be living with these people for the next 9 months. Be sure to bring things from home, especially if you know you get homesick often, to make your room feel homely, I found that some photos, fairy lights a bit of bunting. Most hall are iffy about putting posters up so check what the rules are when you arrive.

3. Freshers week!
This is probably the biggest and busiest weeks, but contrary to popular belief freshers week isn't all about going out every night! There will be loads going on during they day time and its a great chance to bond with flat mates.
Make sure you go to the fresher’s fair, it's a great chance to have a look at what societies are available on your campus. And don't worry there will be a society for anyone and anything!  Fresher’s fairs is also a pretty great place to pick up some freebies, even a full bag of shopping if you're lucky, and enough pens to last the year! Now freshers week can be expensive, and if its your first time being in charge of your own money it can be difficult to manage. I can't give you any better advice other than Budget Budget Budget!! Work out a budget and stick to it, going way over budget in freshers week can have a huge knock on effect for the rest of the semester! Figure out how much money you have per week and stick to it! you don't want to be skimping eating cheap super noodles for your uni Christmas dinner!
and that's about it! These top three tips should be all you need to start uni! and if not i'm sure you can always get the next train to Hogwarts ... next September 1st.

I hope this was a big help to people!
